Capital Missions Company is located in the eco-village of East Troy, Wisconsin. CMC's President, Susan Davis, lives nearby with her husband, Walter Moora, where he farms over 400 acres, raising dairy cows. In the spring and summer Susan enjoys raising vegetables in her biodynamic garden enough for herself, her friends and family to savor year round. Walter supplies all with milk and beef from his cows, with an occasional contribution from a farm pig, turkey or chicken. Yummy!
In the office, CMC uses email instead of paper whenever possible. All paper is recycled as are office supplies. The office is heated in the winter using a wood-burning stove with diseased wood from a friend's nearby forest. CMC continually works to aggressively conserve, reuse and recycle and favors socially-responsible and local businesses for supplies and as partners (Please see Co-op America's (http://coopamerica.org/) Green Pages (http://coopamerica.org/pubs/greenpages/ for more information).
Each year CMC mitigates our carbon deposits from traveling through the Bonneville Foundation (http://www.b-e-f.org/).
CMC does pro bono consulting to our local organic research entity, Michael Fields Agricultural Institute (http://michaelfieldsaginst.org/). We also provide pro bono administration of a KINS network teaching EarthCare to business leaders and investors called Kindred Spirits Network. We are currently seeking funding for a TimeBank (http://www.timedollar.org/) to serve East Troy, establishing a complementary currency.
